London Central Tower Bridge
In City for work, booked early so got a very good rate. The location is close to Fenchurch St mainline, Tower Hill and Aldgate tube stations. There is a pub next door, which has outdoor seating and also a good value Wetherspoons almost opposite.
It is the usual Travelodge, good size, clean bed. Clean bathroom, tea/coffee and television.
Friendly welcome and efficient check in. If you are visiting for sight-seeing then Tower Bridge and Tower of London are a very short walk away, with the good travel connections you can get to Covent garden easy, as the RV1 bus leaves from the nearby bus-stop. It is near a busy interchange, but I didn't hear the noise from the road very much.
Note for those that do not know, the City of London, the working heart of London is pretty quiet at the weekend. It caters for the workers, the nightlife and shopping etc are generally outside the central City. Covent Garden, Leicester Sq, etc. Nearby Hoxton and Shoreditch are worth a visit.
